According to the lawsuit, the company provided false and misleading information to the market. DiDi “had the problem of collecting personal data in violation of the relevant laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China.” The company’s app would undergo a cybersecurity review by the Cyberspace Administration of China (“CAC”). The CAC directed all app stores in the country to remove the company’s app. As a result of these facts, the company’s public statements throughout the IPO period were false and materially misleading.
